September has always been the perfect month to re-evaluate my goals, even more so than the New Year. Summer is over, days start to get shorter… and I get to have long walks with my dog who loves the cooler months!
For me it’s an ideal moment to re-set my body + soul and think about what I have accomplished in the past months, where I am with my intentions and what I can still do to improve those areas that need some tuning up.
It is also when I try to remember that I need to be KIND to myself and not beat myself up if things are not the way I had envisioned them.
Setbacks are part of life and it is OK to hit pause, reflect and then move on.
Instead of wasting time on what went wrong or what I could have done better, I try to use that time + energy on what I can do over the next three months to be more grounded, happy and clear on my intentions before we are blessed with another year.
By doing a re-set, I try to focus on those little things that help my health and overall wellbeing such as:
SLEEP- because 8 hours of sleep is key for me and my hormones
MEDITATE- meditation keeps me grounded and grateful
HYDRATE- to keep my gut, skin, hair… healthy
MINDFUL EATING- paying attention to always eating balanced meals
LOVE- because it is never too much to give some extra love to those that matter in
LISTEN- being a good listener shows my respect and love to the other person
EXERCISE- do it wisely, keeping in mind that its all about quality vs quantity
STRETCH- to keep my joints and body flexible and healthy
